As Covid-19 case load increases among people coming from other states, concerns have also grown over gatekeeping with many people managing to arrive in state through borders without passes. In the review meeting convened by chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan on May 22, LSGD principal secretary Sarada Muraleedharan reported that around 3,896 people arrived in the state without passes.
