The five-year period of the centrally-funded Atal mission for rejuvenation and urban transformation (AMRUT) ends by March 2020, but so far Kerala’s overall expenditure in five sectors under the mission is only 26.45% – ie, just Rs 623.44 crore of Rs 2,357.66 crore (expenditure is 27.7% when based on amount for which administrative sanction is given, but 26.45% when based on total project cost).
