The surge in Covid-19 cases continued in the state on Friday, with the daily tally going above the 2,500-mark for the first time. As many as 2,543 cases, seven deaths and 2,097 recoveries were reported on the day. The total number of cases reported so far went up to 69,304, of which 45,691 cases came in August alone.
