A nurse from Ettumanoor, who was admitted to a hospital in Saudi Arabia with symptoms of new coronavirus on Thursday, is afflicted with Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), it is learnt. This was also confirmed by the Consulate General of India in Jeddah (@CGIJeddah) on Thursday night. MERS-CoV has been identified in dromedaries in several countries in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
