LDF’s thumping win in Vattiyoorkavu and Konni is brighter than UDF’s win in Manjeswaram, Ernakulam and Aroor. This is not only because of the lower margins for UDF’s victory, but because of the complex permutations that included religious vote banks, incumbency/anti-incumbency factors, allegations that cropped up during the campaign phase and inner party issues.
